IF YOU HAVE PAIN FROM OSTEOARTHRITIS

Osteoarthritis or sometimes called osteoarthrosis is one of the most common arthritis forms. When the cartilage in the body joints wears downs over time causes osteoarthrosis. Some of the commonly affected areas are in the knees, hips, hand & spine. There is no permanent cure for this disease. However, various treatments can suppress the pain in the long run.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

One such treatment that we offer at our clinic is the Viscosupplementation. This medical procedure starts by injecting a lubricating fluid, hyaluronic acid derivatives (Hyalgan, Synvisc) into a joint. Viscosupplementation offers pain relief by providing cushioning in the joint.

VISCOSUPPLEMENTATION

Each joint in your body have a natural lubricant called the synovial fluid, as you get older the chemicals in the Hyaluronic acid breaks down leading to lower levels of lubricants in the joints, which results in stiffness and pain in the joints. A viscosupplement treatment replaces the missing hyaluronic acid in your synovial fluid. This temporarily increases the knee’s ability to move without causing you pain or discomfort.
